"An amazing film. A great story on a real legend of the sport" Nick Green - Oarsome Foursome
This is the story of an unsung hero Steve Fairless, a country boy who represented Australia in road cycling at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. After the games, with professional opportunities limited, Steve retired from the sport to return to dairy farming to provide for his young family. He was 26 and in physiological terms, only just arriving at his peak. However, the desire to compete never left him and at 50, Steve made a comeback of sorts. Within a season, he was one of the best riders in the country for any age. Our film tracks his life, his comeback and his journey to the ultimate proving ground, the UCI World Masters Championships in Slovenia in September 2014. Steve is a great character, and his story is one of never letting go of a dream.
Fairless premiered at a sold-out session at the 2015 Melbourne International Film Festival. It went on to play at several other film festivals, both in Australia and abroad, screened on 4 airlines and the TV rights were sold across 6 countries including Channel 10 in Australia.

"It's a fine piece of filmmaking, made with discretion, empathy and wry humour" The Australian
Granted unprecedented access this film tracks the rebuilding of Collingwood FC over the 2018 season. From a club in crisis mode and a coach close to losing his job, up against the challenges of injuries to key players and media scrutiny like no other sporting club in the country, Collingwood rebuilt their approach and culture to extraordinary effect. Led by coach Nathan Buckley, the club blocked out the external noise, shifting the focus back towards each other. They embraced those within the group who were broken and celebrated their differences, coming out much stronger for it. This is not your typical football documentary. From The Inside Out offers an insight into the human face(s) of football, the impact the pursuit of excellence at the elite level can have on players and coaches, and how Collingwood Football Club rebuilt themselves to bring about change and success.
'Collingwood: From The Inside Out' was broadcast nationally on the ABC following a top 10 finish in the 2019 Melbourne International Film Festival Audience Award.

Sports psychology was born in Germany during the 1920’s. Like all forms of sports science it has evolved rapidly and techniques such as arousal regulation, goal setting, imagery and self-talk are now used by most elite athletes. But it’s the fast growing organised practice of techniques such as gratitude, empathy and mindfulness which are now attracting the interest of athletes and sporting clubs world-wide. Athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Novak Djokovic, Tiger Woods and clubs such as AC Milan, Seatle Seahawks and Richmond Football Club have managed to reduce stress, improve focus and enhance performance by practising various forms of mindfulness. THE GAME IN THE BRAIN aims to educate, entertain and inspire as it takes us behind the scenes into the fascinating world of modern sports psychology, presenting athletes as real people. Through their stories and insights into mind training tools, our audience will be encouraged to strive for better performance, mental health and wellbeing.
